Then on Jan. 12th Port Juniorsonaroll The P.P.H.S. junior basketball squad chalk- ed up their third straight victory against a weak Bowmanville team. Coach Paul Arculus, pleased with the victory, was able to get all 15 members of his line up onto the floor for equal time." Eleven team members shared in the scoring in the 62 to 37 victory. Top scorers were Craig Menzies with 12 points, Jeff Ireland 10, Dave Burn- ett 7 and Doug Arculus 6. Defensive credits go to captain Jeff Ireland who led the rebounding assisted by Dave Burn- ett. The final score of 65 to 43 for Bowmanville does not reflect the determined effort put out by the seniors. Port's midget squad also failed in their efforts to overcome their Bowmanville counterparts. Final score 52-26 for the visitors. Brad Traves with 12 and Adam Zimmerman with 8 led the rebels on the scoring end, while Brad Menzies and Jamie Menzies led the defense.
