Alan Howell and Brian Parry were of- ficially received as Lions through an induction ser- vice conducted bv Zone Chairman Don Acturr of Stouffville. Local Lions assisting in the ceremony were John Olivero, Gordon Brown, Steven Snider and Gor- don Prentice. Lion Ken Clark was the sponsoring Lion. Guests for the oc- casion included Vicky Howell, Karen Parry and Peggy Clark. Lions are actively in- volved in a "Drug Awareness' program. The District Lions have prepared a "colour slide- tape" presentation designed for use by parent groups or in- dividual parents. Lion Jim Foster made the first "'slide-tape" presen- tation to the Club. It helps parents to detect signs of drug abuse and gives some guidance in dealing with problems. This "slide-tape' re- quires 15 minutes and is available through the Local Lions Club.
