On Saturday evening we joined a host of fami- ly, friends and . neighbours at the Nestleton Community Centre to accomplish two things - one to have a great time and most im- portantly to provide some financial assistance to John and Linda Arbuckle and family who during the past couple of years have had more than their fair share of unfortunate in- cidents. Out of something bad always comes some good and due to the . generosity of many local merchants and priyate citizens, I believe a fair- ly substantial sum was realized. | am sure this young family who are ob- viously well-loved and respected in their com- munity, are indeed very grateful to all those per- sons who were involved in anyway and to everyone who attended. It certainly restores ones faith to know that the philosophy behind the Golden Rule is still alive and well in our society to-day! Sunday afternoon will go down as history in the minds of several little ones who along with their older brothers and sisters and of course their moms and dads en- joyed an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride compliments of Earl and Joan Durward and fami- Spending time with those you love ly at their farm on that bright and crisp February day.
