Heron A joint service of the churches in the area will be held in St. Thomas Anglican Church in Brooklin for the World Day of Prayer service at 7:30 in the evening, Fri- day March 1st. A gracious invitation has come for the Ashburn folk to attend. There will be a time of fellowship following the service. This is heart month and the canvassers are out working in the area. We hope this very worthy cause will go over the top. We are sorry that Rev. McEntyre at this time of writing is in Oshawa Hospital. We all hope and pray that he will soon be better. In his absence last Sunday morning at Burns Church, Rev. George Moore of Port Perry, officiated at the communion service. His message was titled "Why Do This' as he ex- plained the two sacrements of the church, Baptism and Ho- ly Communion. Mr. Jack Davidchuck with his students are in Quebec this week on a school project. Mr. and Mrs. David Humphrey and children Amanda and Michael of Deep River visited recently with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Humphrey and family. Visitors with Ted and Rose Heron over the weekend were Ken and Elaine Heron of Bracebridge, Bill Doris Scott and Linda McAndless of Don Mills. Miss Barbara Hum- phrey is in Montreal for three weeks taking a course in connection with her work in Toronto. Some interesting things are coming up in the Kirk Guild for March and April.
