a, PORT PERRY STAR -- Tues. February 19,1965 -- 28 There was plenty of action around the Ernestown a stick on that loose puck in his skates. Port Perry fired goal during the final game of the annual tournament on 29 shots at the Ernestown goalie and went on to win the Saturday. That's Brad Moase of Port Perry trying to get final 3-0. Bantam Bseries down to the wire The best two out of three series with Fenelon Falls is now tied at one game apiece. The Ban- tam B's next game which will decide the winner will be played in Fenelon Falls Tuesday night at 9:15 P.M. The first game of the series was played in Port Perry on Feb. 13 and Port Perry won by a 4-2 score. To beat Fenelon Falls is quite an ac- complishment and the boys should be extreme- ly proud. John Lally scored our first goal on a beautiful dcke with the assist go- ing to Scott Feasby. Fer don Falls came back and scored two goals in the second period to leave the score 2-1. The third period was all Port Broomball upset 2-1 The first round of playoffs got underway this past Sunday with Beacock's pulling off an upset by dumping Goreski's by a 2-1 score. Utica handled 0Odd- fellows in their first with a 6-0 blanking. Beacock's took the lead on a shot from the point by Gord Bryan"s on an unassisted effort ear- ly in the game. The lead held until 3 minutes into the second, when Bill St. John's shot was deflected in the front of the net to tie it at 1-1. On the ensu- ing playoff, Beacock's went to the Goreski end where Ron Wagg set up Ron Redman for the winner. In the Utica game, Kevin Ibbittson got the natural hat trick in the first period giving Utica a 30 lead. Bill Down received assists on the first two. Action hot in Scugog "First round of the play- offs began on Sunday with Compton T.V. roll- ing ovey Smith Contrac- ting 6-0/ Leading the way for Compton saw Glen McCoy score 3 and assist on 1 other. Bill Hurst scored once, assisting on 2 others. Ed Olsen netted 1, assisting on 1; Ken Toms scored 1, assisted by Dick Martin. Larocque Electric - 6 Crandells - § With less than 3 minutes left in the game with Larocque trailing 5-3, Jim Beatty scored an unassisted goal to close the score to 54. Ken Lit- tle then tied the score at the 13:22 mark to even the score assisted by Glen Howsam and goaltender John Bourgeois. The game went into sudden-death overtime. With just over a minute left in overtime, Ken Lit- tle received a pass from Doug Suppelsa to score his second goal and lead his team to victory. . B.J. Donuts - 7 Galley Fish & Chips - 6 Galleys Donovan Smith scored 3 times in regulation time, but it was not enough as B.J.'s defeated Galley in a shoot-out after 5 minutes " Mens loop of sudden-death overtime.
