The students stayed in the magnificent Chateau Frontenac located on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the old city and Kinsmen president Brian Callery (right) and vice-president Ken Luke (left) presented Port Perry High School vice-principal Ed Grant with an elegant plaque, Monday morning, on which the names 'of bursary winners will be engraved in years to come. from there toured many interesting historical sites. French students joined the English students for many ac- tivities where all ex- * perienced a real meeting of the two cultures. Physical activities were an integral part of the program in Quebec. Over one hundred and eighty students in all 'marched' across the Plains of Abraham on snow shoes at night. After the two mile hike, a tug of war was held as a reenactment of the original battle which was fought in 1759. The chaperones all agree that this has been a unique opportunity to gain a better understan- dings of the French culture for students and adults alike. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new tradition at Im- maculate Conception and with the continued support of parents, we will be able to offer this program to different students in years to come.
