Choir practice will be Thursdey evening at the home of Howard and Ruth Ashton at 7:30 p.m. Jill and Gordon Postma visited their parents Mr. and Mrs. Postma Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Mound at Trenton on Thursday. On Sunday, Ken and Beth Cather- wood, Ruth and Howard Ashton visited Ruth's sister, Lucille Wagner and brother-in-law Lorne of Ashworth. Elva Kerry visited Mrs. Raymond Kerry who is a patient in Port Perry Hospital. We all wish Jean a speedy recovery. Don and Stella Asling visited his mother, Mrs. Alma Asling at Fairview Lodge on Saturday, then called on Walt and Hazel at Ajax and were pleas- ed to find Hazel much improved. On Sunday morning, Don conducted the church services at Sand- ford and Zephyr, after which Don and Stella joined daughter Dr. Pat and her guests Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Dick for lunch. Grant Evans and Steve Ashenhurst who have been holidaying in Arizona have arrived home safely, having had a wonderful time and en- joying the 80 plus degree temperature. Mrs Gladys Evans, nephew Howard St. John of Clearwater B.C. has been visiting the family and was with Ross and Barbara Evans and family on Friday. If you like playing cards in the afternoon plan on going to the Latcham Centre on Thurs March 14th at 1 p.m. sHarp and support the Hospital Auxiliary Euchre. Weekend visitors at the Lloyd Peremans' over the weekend were Beth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Denninston of White Lake, Ontario. Saturday night was a very special time for Beth Willes when she was guest of honour at a surprise party held at the Community Centre when over fifty friends and neighbours attended. The evening was spent dancing and visiting. A lovely lunch with birth- day cake was served. Happy Birthday Beth. Also birthday wishes to John Bredin who has a birthday this week. The Prince Albert unison choir of grades 14 took first place at the music festival at Sunderland. The rhythm band grades 1 and 2 also took first. These groups took part in the 'Night of Stars' last Tuesday night. Congratulations to all the children who took part and to their teachers who led the children. Call- ed to order by the Presi- dent followed by the sing- ing of O'Canada. We had one new member. Usual business was discussed. There will be a euchre Wednesday March 6th 1:30 at Latcham Centre. Come out and join us. We had six birthdays. Qur entertainment for the afternoon was our own choir led by the choir leader Win Philip. They were great, after which coffee, tea and bir- thday cake was served by the ladies of the February lunch group.
