Carol Carol Petite hits 50th goal On. Sat. March 2, the Bruton's 1.D.A. Petites travelled to Mariposa and were defeated by a score of 10-6. The girls came out flat and although they scored the first goal it wasn't long before Mariposa over- took us and never looked back. It wasn't until the last three minutes of the . game that the girls ap- peared to wake up and scored some gaals in suc- cession. Scorers for Port were Kelly Menzies, 2 goals, 2 assists; Denna Lovering 3 goals, 2 assists; Misty Andrews 1 goal; Nicky Beare 3 assists and Amy Parlia- ment 1 assist. Our last 2 goals were scored in 23 seconds in the last minute of play. © On Sun. March 3, the Bruton's 1.D.A. Petites travelled to Lindsay and were successful in bring- ing home a 10-2 win. Con- gratulations go to Denna - Lovering who earned the game ring by scoring her 50th goal of the season with the first goal of the game. She also added another goal for good measure. Amy Parlia- ment played her first game in net and did a fine job. Other scorers were Kim Poppleton 2 goals; Lyndsay Dutkewich 2 goals; Tanya Towns, Danielle Cooper, Misty Andrews and Tracey Pelow each scored 1 goal. Assists went to Kelly Menzies, Misty, Tracy, Lyndsay, Denna and Jennifer Morden 1 each. Special mention should be made of Mark Lver- ing who played a super game for the parents during our recent game. We'll need your help again in our next game. Our next game is on Thurs. at 7 p.m. in Sunderland during the Regionals. Hope to see you there. Cartwright wins by Robert Keast In February there have been a number of basketball games.
