Remax scoring by Brent Harper 3 goals, 1 assist; Jay Tredway 2 goals and Billy Zaparanuik 1 goal. Muskies scoring Keith Haist and Mike Pashley 1 goal each. Kinsmen - 2 Davids Hairstyling - 0 In a very close game Kinsmen beat Davids Hairstyling 2-0. Kinsmen scoring Neil Mueller and Jeff Vernon 1 goal each with an assist going to Darryl McEnaney. Remax Realty - 6 Davids Hairstyling - 0 In this last league game Remax Realty came out to win and they did over Davids Hairsty!- ing 6-0. Remax scoring Jim Fitzpatrick 3 goals 1 assist; Ricky Olaisen 3 goals; Jay Tredway 1 goal and Craig Laird with 2 assists. ATOM Den Forder Ins. - 5 Gord Lewis Motors - 4 In the second game of the round-robin series Don Forder Insurance edged Gord Lewis Motors 54. Forder took a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by Mike Staniland, Andrew Shepherd and Ross Stainton. Brendon Agnew picked up the on- ly assist in this scoring. Lewis came within a goal in the second as they scored twice. Andy Wilson notched both markers with an assist going to Jeff Kemp. Ear- ly in the third period, Mike Staniland scored for the insurancemen, then he assisted on his team's fifth goal by Wade Sheedy. Lewis tried in vain to came back from the deficit, scoring twice in the last few minutes of the period. Andy Wilson and Chad Brown each scored but at the final whistle, it was Forder 5 and Lewis 4. UAW. -4 Swamp Auto Body - 2 Although Swamp Auto Body was first on the board again they were downed 4-2 by UAW. Mike Williams put his team ahead 1-0 on a pass from Lee Whitter. Then Phil Edgar evened the match at one, with the assist going toBilly San- diford. Chad Venning scored for Swamp unassisted, only to have the Edgar-Sandiford combination tie the game again. U.A.W. then took control, scoring twice more. Steve Slade scored from Sandiford, then Slade assisted on Phil Edgar's goal. Con- gratulations on your hat- trick Phil. Scugog Lumber - 3 Tripp Realty - 2 In a close contest, Scugog Lumber defeated Tripp Realty 3-2. Aftera scoreless first period, Simon Traynor fed Kent Jamieson to put the lumbermen ahead 1-0. PAUL D. But Darren Hope found an opening with 19 seconds remaining in the second period, assisted by Scott Airey. Jason Dunkley then put Scugog Lumber ahead mjdway in the third period, unassisted. With 1:35 left Dave Pashley notched the insurance goal, the assist going to Scott Wylie. Tripp got one more in the last minutes of play as Hope notched his second from Ryan Picard. The lumbermen welcome Joey Broad- worth to the team from Thunder Bay. PEE WEE The Pee Wee house league started their playoffs with a bang Saturday morning with two excellent well played game. In the 1st game, W. Frank came out on top of a 4-2 score to defeat the Lions Club. Although Frank carried the play for most of the game, Lions came on strong in the last 10 minutes of the 3rd only to be turned back by Frank's defense and good goaltending. Lions defeated Frank in the final league game sé the" boys might have been a little over confident. In the 2nd game, the Scala boys may have learned a lesson that you should not sit on a lead. Near- ing the end of the 2nd period Scala held a 4-1 lead and may have thought they had the game sewn up. However, when you let up and relax strange things hap- pen, as was évident by the Larocque team com- ing up. with four unanswering goal and going on to defeat Scala 5-4. Despite the loss Jon Ausman had a strong game between the pipe for Scala. W. Frank - 4 Lions Club - 2 Paul Kett and Alec Crammer both had a 2 goal performance for Frank with lan Cobham, Chad Prentice and Vince Criscione picking up 1 assist each. For the Lions, Daryl Dutkewich had a pair with Craig Leask and Herb Hatch assisting. / The Port Perry Rod and Gun Club Inc., held its annual banquet Saturday evening at the Latcham Centre with the presentation of individual awards for target shooting ex- cellence. Pp - eo Pee Wees keep it alive by Chris Legere Port Legion Pee Wees travelled to Napanee for a double header and came out winning one and losing one. The first game was played on Sat. March 2 and Port lost 54 in a real barn burner. Port started out slowly in the first period and it re- sulted in them losing to Napanee 3-1. Port's only goal was scored by Clair Cornish assisted by Jarett Harman and Dan- ny Maw. In the second period Port got their se- cond goal scored by Dan- ny Maw assisted by Clair Cornish. Napanee scored Larocque - 5 Scala - 4 For Larocque, John Andrews led the attack with 4 goals and 1 assist with Mark Tomkiewicz notching a single. Pick- ing 'up assists - Lee Phillips (2), Gord 5 Year Annual Interest Ireland (1), Chris McGill (1) and Jeff Labanovich (1). For Scala, Mike Butt with a hat trick and Carl Payne with a single. Napanee scored and then Clair Cornishsscored his second of the game assisted by Jarett Har- man. Second Game The next day Port was back and the pressure was on them as they were down 2 games to none in a best of five series. But Port didn't give up in the least and they were rewarded with a 6-3 win over Napanee. Again Port started out slowly and Napanee pop- ped 2 goals in but Port came back with three minutes left in the first period. Sean Bradbury scored and that lifted i Port's spirits, Mike Feasby assisted. In the second period Clair Cor- nish scored for Port with Eric Grosvenor assisting. Napanee. scored once in the second period. The third period was dominated by Port as they scored four unanswered goals. Jarett Harman tied the game on a nifty deke assisted by Chris Legere. Mike Feasby scored, assisted by Clair Cornish and Brian Appleby. The third goal by Sean Bradbury for his second of the game assisted by Jarett Harman and Clair Cor- nish and the fourth goal by Jan Heyes assisted by Eric Grosvenor.
