The World Day of Prayer Service was held Friday of last week at Seagrave United Church. Quite a few ladies from Greenbank attended as well as many Seagrave ladies. A note of thanks to Mrs. Mildred Puckrin for organizing the pro- gram, Mrs. Pat Fisher and Mrs. Heather Kell- ington for their lovely singing and Mrs. Joan Lee for playing organ. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Don Beacock and family, Mr. Bill Wan- namaker, Sara and Mar- tin and Mrs. Gertie Wan- namaker attended a special church service at Prince Albert United Church. The occasion was the dedication of a window which had been donated by Earl and Jean Martin in memory of their friends and fellow members of the " vited back to the Martin home for a luncheon. Henke and John Hofstee were officially welcomed into the Seagrave United Church at Sunday's service. Missing the minister Church and Sunday School this week will be held in Epsom Church at 11:15 a.m. Last Sunday, Donna VanVeghel very capably delivered the message and she was assisted in the service by Walter Kerry, Clara Jones, Ken Catherwood and Elizabeth Taylor and the choir. Hopefully we will have our minister back with us this Sunday, not that we needed her, it's just that everyone misses her. -U.C.W. will meet at the home of Melba McKay on Tuesday, March 12th, at 8 p.m. All ladies welcome. The Hall Board regrets that they had to turn some folks away on Saturday evening from their dance, but this just points out the need for an extension to accom- modate more people. Anyway, there will be another dance in two weeks. ~ Euchre winners on Friday evening were: Lena Ogden, Nora Pren- tice and Dorothy McCaslin was low. "George Harper, Grant Bright' and low winner for the men was William Carnegie. Freeze-out winners were Caroline Haugh and Mary Cannon with Nerta Masters and Daisy Sellars second. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Visitors with the Eric Carre family this past week were his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Carre of Bridgenorth, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hinchcliffe of Toronto.
