Then in the afternoon the "Friendship" UCW will meet in the church at 1:30 and will learn the art of candle making. In the evening of the same day the Women's Institute will meet in the Hall when Clara Martyn will show a travelogue of England. For roll call, all ladies will have the name of a town or county in England. It sounds as if the women are busy as usual in March. Of course, others are working on choir concerts and special suppers for April. One supper in par- ticular sounds different as it is being planned by Stewards of the Island United to raise funds for 'a proposed building fund. It will be interesting to have the Island men pro- ve their hidden culinary skills and a chance to do something they always really wanted to do but were afraid to ask. Irene and Marion Carter with another nur- sing associate have returned from a very en- joyable trip to Hawaii for 2 weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heayn returned from a £ week vacation in Florida. WEDDING Orsborne -- Ashbridge Patricia Louise Orsborne and Donald James Ashbridge were united in marriage at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Picton, on November 10, 1984, with Cannon John R. Neal officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George Orsborne of R.R. 1, Picton. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Donald Auburn Ashbridge of R.R. 3, Port Perry. The reception was held at the Elks Hall in Picton. The couple honeymooned in the Carribedn.
