Robert Ashton par- ticipated in a hockey tournament in Oshawa for four days last week. Lois Bushell and her granddaughter, Alexis Bradbury called on Ruth and Howard Ashton on Tues. afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ashton and family called on his parents on Sat. afternoon. Bob Millar the assis- tant minister of Ebenezer was the guest speaker on Sun. All en- joyed the message and the special music was much appreciated. Dr. Jerrold Asling and daughter, Jill and Jen- nifer of Hanover, visited her parents Don and Stella Asling for a few days last week. Sorry to report that Clarence Masters is a pa- tient in Oshawa Hospital. Sympathy is extended to Norman Wilson and his family in the passing of Lorraine last week in Toronto Hospital. Norm and Lorraine farmed south of the village for 36 years and raised their family there. ~~ A daughter, Grace, and three sons, Lloyd, Clif- ford and Bruce. When they sold the farm twelve years ago, they moved into Port Perry. A number of the communi- ty attended the funeral on Saturday. Bryan and Judy Beacock had as dinner guests her parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Alliston of Blackstock. Philip was glad to see grandpa and grandma as they have just returned from a holi- day in Florida. Heather Hodgins spent some of the winter break with friends in Elliot Lake. Congratulations to Diana Brough and her partner, Carol Wilson of Scugog Island, on plac- ing fifth in the High-Low Bowling Tournament on Sunday.
