The lone marker for U.A.W. was scored by Philip Edgar from Billy Sandiford and Elton McFadyen. Lewis ended up on to of the 10 point series with 8 points. U.A.W. still had 6 points, and could be eliminated, depending upon the out- come of the next game. Lake Scugog Lumber - 5 Don Forder Insurance - 4 This was the game that was to decide the future of Gary Edgar's U. A.W. boys. A win by Forder would eliminate U.A.W. A loss or tie by this squad would see U.A.W. in the final series with Lewis. After a scoreless first period, Forder Insurance scored just 45 seconds in- to the 2nd period. Sixteen seconds later, they were ahead 2-0. Both goals "were scored by Brendon Agnew with assists to Andrew Shepherd and Mike Staniland (2). A minute later, Agnew tied the match at 3. Fierce end to end action then developed for the next ten minutes. Finally, with 3:21 on the clock, Pashley put his team ahead. A minute later, Pashley notched his fifth goal of the day. Forder was not finished yet, and Mike Staniland notched one for the in- surancemen with 1:17 re- maining. Scugog held on though, and eliminated Forder from further ac- tion. Congratulations to both teams on a fine hockey game. Swamp Auto Body - 5 Tripp Realty - 1 Although these two teams were already out of medal contention, they played a fine game, with Swamp Auto Body com- ing out on top of Tripp Realty by a 5-1 margin. Mike Olaisen notched three goals for Swamp, while Graham Hill and Lee Whitter each had singles. The lone marker for Tripp was scored by Ryan Picard. Gord Lewis Motors - 7 UAW. -5 On Sunday, game one of the best of three final series began. Gord Lewis Motors came back from a 5-2 deficit to defeat U.A.W. 7-5. This was a typical playoff game with a full house of very enthusiastic supporters. U.A.W. scored the only goal of the first period. Then the roof cav- ed in for the Auto Workers, as Lewis came back with 5 unanswered goals. Adam Johnston scored two goals and one assist for 5 points on the day. Andy Wilson notch- ed two and Robin Pren- tice a single. Final score 7-5 for Gord Lewis. Game two of the series is this Sat. at 1:00 p.m. Good luck to both teams. PEE WEE Saturday's 1st game saw W. Frank facing off against Larocque Elec- tric in the 1st game of a 2 out of 3 for the Pee Wee House League Championship. Both teams played good, strong hockey throughout all 3 periods with each team having their share of scoring chances.
