One of Canada's finest water-colour artists was on hand Satur- day afternoon at Scugog Memorial Library to demonstrate his craft _ for appreciative library patrons. Edwin Matthews is renowned for his beautiful impressionistic landcape paintings and for the Buckhorn School of Fine Art, where he shares his knowledge with others. His work will be on display at the library until April 12th. Artist hits the big-time with Reader's Digest The next exhibitor at the Scugog Public Library will be a promi- nent painter who is also the originator of The Buckhorn Wildlife Art Festival. Edwin Matthews is a prolific painter in both watercolour and acrylic. He portrays the stunning contrasts and beauty of Ontario landscapes in all seasons. Recently, Ed- win's work was featured on the back cover of the Reader's Digest magazine (Oct. 1984).
