Son Calvin and Yvonne Holland, Chad, Craig and Alanna Dawn of Bowmanville were Sunday Easter lun- cheon guests with Neta. The McNeely family were home over the Easter weekend and had a nice visit with Stan and Daisy. Our best wishes to friend Daisy who is feel- ing a little better. Nestleton Presbyterian | Church With Rev. Fred Swann in the pulpit for the Easter Service spoke on "Belief in The Resurrec- tion" - a significant message. Soloist for this special day was Hiram Joseph singing two solos 'Love Crucified - Arose" and "Rise Again" - Mrs. Scott organist. Arrangements of Easter Lilies and Daf- fodils enhanced the Sanc- tuary. The Swann family were all present and a warm welcome was ex- tended to them. Next Sunday at 11 a.m. Caesarea Community Church On Easter Sunday at 11 am. Rev. WH. Craw- ford conducted the ser- vice with a good con- gregation on hand. Guest speaker Bob Heayn brought excellent thoughts for all to take home. Easter music was provided by Gerry Jonkheer Jr. Next Sun- day the Four Tunettes from Scugog Island will sing. Cartwright Minor Ball Registration The Cartwright Minor Ball registration will be Wednesday April 10 at the Cartwright Arena from 6-8 p.m. The next one will be held April 11th at the Nestleton Rec. Centre from 6-8 p.m. Any boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 15 are encouraged to register. Blackstock and District Lions Club . The Club Public Speaking contest winner travelled to Stouffville last Tuesday for the District Finals. Chris Chorostecki represented the Club by finishing se- cond. Congratulations! Deputy District Gover- nor Ray Wright from the Club accompanied Chris. The Easter Bunny sales have been very suc- cessful this year for the Lions Club. The choir entered the church singing the Easter Processional hymn *'Christ The Lord Is Risen To-day' Mrs. L. Malcolm at the organ. Rev. Dale Davis presented an inspiring message for Easter with Elaine Barber assisting throughout. The choir sang "Because He Lives." The responsive reading - The United Church Creed. Assisting in the nursery were Lawrence Malcolm and Dwight Davis. A lovely pot of deep red Azalea flowers graced the back of the church - placed by one of the Ted Marlow descendents. Next Sun- day at 11:15 a.m. Auction a Success Despite very rough weather - almost hur- rican velocity at times - 'the Edward Williams Auction Estate sale at Nestleton, went off well on Saturday. Those in charge Administrators M. Dayes and M. Cawker, wish to thank the dedicated Auctioneer Don Cochrane, wife Freida and their family - the folks who braved the weather and supported the sale and the U.C.W. for a good substantial lunch with plenty of hot coffee and tea to warm everyone up.
