Not too difficult to take is it folks! With that warm weather the Seagrave ball team emerged from their winter hibernation and launched right into spring training on Sun- day afternoon. Best wishes to all our teams for a successful season ahead! This week seems rather quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of - last week when everyone 'was kept busy preparing for our annual Beef Sup- per. The supper was a ° huge success and gave our church treasury a big boost. A large part of the success of this even- ing is due to an energetic and enthusiastic group of young people who pitch- ed right in and assisted with everything from serving food to waiting on tables and the hard part of cleaning up after. We certainly could not have managed without you! A special thank you also to all the kind folks who so generously donated items of food and to those who lent a hand whenever needed. Community spirit is alive and thriving in this little village!! Thanks everyone. Welcome back to our friends and neighbours who have recently returned from the sunny south. We missed you folks. Sunday Don and I and our three boys enjoyed spending the day and later having dinner with Pam and Vern Beacock and family of Elmvale. Best wishes to Helen Ingram and Don Hunter who are presently pa- tients in Oshawa General Hospital. We all hope you'll soon be back home again. We are also pleas- ed to learn that Mildred Puckrin is steadily im- proving following her re- cent surgery. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families whose children were involved in a very tragic accident last week-end north of Port Perry on the Seagrave road. Our deepest sym- pathy to the Shook fami- ly upon the loss of their young son and to the other families whose children still remain in hospital.
