She will demonstrate Bosch Kit- chen Machines and will make bread from the grain to the loaf ready for the table, and we will be able to taste what she will make. Everyone is welcome to come out and learn something new and . have a friendly evening. The ladies Bible class journeyed to the Port Perry Nursing Home on Monday evening of last week to visit and enter- tain the people there. Chris and Debbie Bat- ten, Aaron and Richard Mathews sang two numbers and did a little skit. Chantal and Stephen Davidchuk sang two lovely duets. Florence Ashton and Bernice Gardner read two poems about spring. Jean McEntyre sang a solo and mother and. daughter Shannon and Barbara Porter sang a duet. There was a favourite hymn sing and the ladies served lunch and had a visit with those who came for the program. There was a good tur- nout at Horticulture last Wednesday night. The flower show was smaller than usual but there was . some lovely displays of daffodils, plants and ar- rangements. The best daffodil prize went to Mary Housego. Best decorative arrangement went to Joan Brack and Chrissie McKinney had the best foliage plant, Chrissie also got a lot of first places on her beautiful violets. to vote 1{2] ¢ The guest for the even- ing was Peter Cullen of Cullen Gardens. He shawed beautiful slides of the gardens in all the seasons of the year also some pictures of the Keukenhof gardens and the Maduradam miniature gardens in Holland. Everyone welcomed Rev. McEntyre back last Sunday morning after his absence due to illness and we are thankful for his recovery. During the service the psalm and scripture were read by Ron Ashton and Ray Porter. Rev. McEntyre's message was "Rhythms- of a Living Faith." With his text from Psalm 74. Catherine Humphrey sang a lovely solo called "Jesus Rose of Sharon is precious to Me." Next Sunday will be Com- memoration Sunday, remembering the old church and the dedica- tion of the new church seventeen years ago. This coming Saturday night May 4th, the church school is sponsor- ing a night of bowling and fellowship at Causeway Bowling Lanes, Port Perry at 7 p.m. Anyone needing a ride please meet in the church parking lot at 6:30. Come and bring the family, there will be prizes and fun for all. At last winter seems to be behind us and we can see the small flowers again. The flowers are nature's jewels, with whose wealth she decks her summer beauty. She's part pit-bull and part lab, but this well-mannered pooch is as friendly as they come, and is looking for a home.
