We missed Irene Carter who was away caring for her grandson who had recently been hospitalized, and Pat Fulcher who was vaca- tioning in Florida with her mother. We remembered our mothers in the roll call by giving their maiden names as well as our Canada Health Week Canada Health Day falls on Sunday, May 12, so Canada Health Week will be celebrated from May 13 - 17, 1985 at Com- Memorial Hospital, Port Perry. This is an annual event designed to promote awareness of health issues and is sponsored by the Canadian Hospital . Association and Cana- dian Public Health Association. The theme this year is "Serving Your Health Needs," and provides an opportunity for examin- ing some of the costs in- volved in meeting health needs. Scugog and Manchester congregations will meet at 11 a.m. instead of the usual Service time. Mr. Maurice Fralick is home again after his her- nia surgery in Toronto. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. Doreen White of the Crow's Nest Pass in Alberta has returned to her home after spending 5 weeks in the Carol and Brian Robinson home when she came to help welcome their little daughter and help the family. During this time she had many happy ex- periences and wished to express her gratitude for the consideration and friendship she had received from people of the community. Nurses from Port Perry Hospital assisted and helped organize the clinic. They had set a goal of 100 units.
