PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, May 7, 1985 -- 23 Spring, a beautiful time of year Greenbank News What a beautiful time of year, as you drive the concession roads in the early morning. The sun shining on the freshly worked fields, the ducks swimming on the farm ponds or on the Nonquon, a bird flying with straw or a twig in its beak to be part of its home, and the trees changing from grey to a cast of green. All this fresh new beau- ty around us to enjoy. Also with the knowledge of no snow for at least six months. With this beautiful spring weather we have the arrival home from their winter home in Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phoenix. The May meeting of the U.C.W. which was held at the home of Mrs. Muriel Gibson last Wednesday turned out to be a happy time for those who attended. They were there to help a very special lady, Mrs. Olive McMillan, celebrate her 90th birthday. She was surprised with a lovely cake and a card signed by all attending which in- cluded several former members who came back for her special day. Mr. Warren McCready visited last week with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. K. Kratz and family of Westport, New York. Our congratulations go to Mr. George McArthur and Doreen Bruce of Lindsay who were mar- ried on April 20 in Lindsay. last long. '81 MAZDA GLC 2dr, 4 sp, STK 188A .........
