Damage was estimated at about $5000 when a vehicle driven by Marilyn Youmans of R.R.4, Port Perry went into a ditch on Regional Road 21 while attemp- ting to pass a slow mov- ing truck. The accident took place May 6 about 1.5 km west of Highway 12. Police say the Youmans vehicle was passing the truck when the driver at- truck driver has been charged with making an unsafe turn. Peter Wilson of R.R.4, Stouff- ville was not hurt. And a 31 year old Oshawa man suffered minor injuries when his 1977 van rolled in the ditch on Concession 10, Cartwright, on May 8. Robert Davies told police he swerved to avoid a hole in the road, lost control of the vehicle and hit the ditch. The van was described as a write- off.
