2 NK Ci 3, 18 RE PU Hy po am TO UAL Le sal ES WAL aig There was happy chaos - Barefoot In The Park in the Blackstock Rec Centre Saturday night when John Foote's production of Barefoot In The Park hit the stage. Presented by the Blackstock Lions Club (who enjoyed dinner first), the play featured the comedic talents of (from left) Steve Foote as young husband Paul Bratter, strait-laced and hard-working; Kim Bullock as Corie Bratter, a newlywed with her feet, and her enthusiasm for life three feet off the ground; Jeff Flieler as Vic- tor Velasco, the screwy neighbour who falls for Kelly Gouin as Mrs. Banks, Corie Brat- ter's long-suffering mother. R.H. Cornish turns back On Thursday. May 23rd, all the Grade Seven students from R.H. Cor- nish Public School turn- ed back their clocks to early pioneer days in Up- per Canada. They spent an educational and en- joyable day touring the Scugog Shores Pioneer Museum on Scugog Island. This annual visit by the Grade Seven students is always successful, thanks to all those people in the community who make the day possible. The men and women who volunteer their time to share their knowledge with the students are to be highly commended. It is such a meaningful ex- perience for the young people of today to realize how their early ancestors lived and worked. The Scugog Shores Museum trip greatly adds to our classroom study of Pioneer Days in A POST BUDGET SEMINAR History. The students were able to see many early crafts and skills, such as quilting, weav- ing, candlemaking, but- ter making, and baking; we have so many talented people in the Port Perry area. All the Grade Seven students and staff at R.H. Cornish wish to thank the Museum staff and volunteers for pro- viding us with another excellent tour of the "Financial Planning Strategies" by BRIAN COSTELLO -- as seen on Global Noon News - Heard on CKFM -- Hour Toronto Magazine - Author.
