The tulips were especially lovely and the floral ar- rangements are aiways beautiful. There -were also many vegetables that looked so good. A panel discussion on Greenhouse gardening was ably headed by three of our members, Mary Housego, Margaret Davis and Ken Brown who have their own greenhouses and speak from good experience. The next meeting will be held in Burns Church, Ashburn, on June 17th. This will be the annual Iris Show and Veronica Colangelo will demonstrate 'Floral designs with Iris.' Last Saturday was a busy day around the Community Centre when everything from beautiful paintings to trink.., were sold and also there was a very successful bake table inside Guests with Doug and Florence Ashton recent- ly were Lawrence Doble and May Cowlen of Toronto also Jean and Cecil Vicers of Fergus. Weekend visitors with Ted and Rose Heron were Elaine and Ken Heron of Bracebridge. Jackie Wright, Michael Emm and Ron Ashton accompanied the 1st Ashburn Cubs to the Whitby District Cuboree held last weekend, north of Whitby. All Cubs en- joyed a busy fun filled outing. Last Sunday afternoon the Burns Men's Choir assisted with the service at the lovely church at Pinegrove. On Sunday morning at Burns, Rev. McEntyre's sermon was titled 'The Glorious Succession." The scriptures were read by Rita Davidchuk and Ray Ingleton. The choir sang as their anthem "My Heart Sings Hallelujah." The ushers for the service were Sharmon and Barbara Porter. Next Sunday the Men's Choir will sing at the service at Bread- albane Presbyterian Church, Utica.
