6 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- June 4, 1985 Skippers jump for cash Greenbank News by Mrs. Armour McMillan The Heart and Stroke Foundation is more than $6,000 richer thanks to the strong hearts (and other muscles) of the students at Prince Albert Public School. On May 7th the entire school participated in Jump Rope for Heart, a fundraising venture which calls for continual skipping for two hours. Although Cartwright High School is an old hand at the Jump Rope for Heart theme, it was a first attempt for the public school students. The Greenbank Public School choir led with a 50th annivesary party held in Latcham Centre then Quarker Hill hosted a pot luck supper in Uxbridge with a very interesting program.
