12 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, July 3, 1985 Who is the sexiest man of all? Working Man, Donnie Silverman, is leading in the Kidney Foundation's Sexy Man Contest. Donnie has 4355 votes and closely following him for lead position are local businessmen, Jim Grieve (IGA), Rick Larocque (Rick Laroc- que Electric), Irwin Smith (Irwin Smith 'Chev Olds), Music), Dennis Ander- son (Dennis Anderson Mitch Kowal, (Ridgeview Snack Bar) and Sexy Bachelor Richard Short. Competition is keen as the contest moves into its 4th week and nomina- tions continue to come in. Also important in this competition are votes. Each vote earns the can- didate a chance to claim the title of sexiest man in Scugog. But, the best part is that all this fun and competition earns the Kidney Foundation funds for continuing its research and education work. He owns Bob Goodman Plumbing and Heating, and when he's not working, he's golfing, horseback riding or downhill skiing. And if that's not enough, he's also got a wife and two kids to look after him. Rick Cooper, 28, works at the Motors in the summertime but is looking forward to finishing his degree in, get this, Atmospheric Physics Meteorology at York University. He already owns a degree in Biochemistry, and is an avid biker and canoeist.
