In the fiscal year April '84 to March '85 a total of 138 crisis calls were handled by the centre. As a mat- ter of interest these calls took volunteer time, follow up or support calls tallied 909 hours and 1456 hours were spent on self help groups. That is a lot of hours when you consider that at any given time there have only been 6 women actively on the phone lines. Be assured that there is no danger of the centre closing down, but it is very obvious that the centre could use more volunteers, therefore this is a two fold cry for assistance. Any club, organization group or business that can drum up some financial assistance, it is really needed. Just as impor- tant, the centre would like to hear from women in the area who have in- the past expressed an in- terest in some volunteer work at the centre, we have not forgotten you, things have been so hec- tic that we have been unable to get to sev up a training programme please call us again. And any women who have not done so before, but think that they could devote some time to helping other women in the com- munity, please give us a call. ap it A -------- a In ------ . oe 1] I A Women's Building Flowers.
