PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, July 23, 1985 -- 19 ' More than 40 tykes paraded for prizes There's nothing quite like a parade. And the kids put on quite a show Friday mor- ning with their bright costumes, decorated wagons and balloons. The Festival Days Kid- dies Parade attracted more than 40 youngsters, and they made their way up and down Queen Street before the judges had to make their tough decisions and hand out prizes for costumes and decorations. It was tough because all the kids look- ed just great. Anyhow, here are the results: BEST WAGON Linda Mahaffy, Tyler Houthuys, the Baxter Kids. DOLL CARRIAGE Christa Lane, Jennifer Lane. PULL TOY McClurg Bunch as the Ducks, Greg Manns, Jessica Houthuys. WHEELBARROW Steve Schewaga, the McCiurg Bonch. PEDAL CAR Jennifer Berry, Sarah Breen, David Clouthier. BEST INDIVIDUAL Judy and Becky Loyst, Cassandra Behling and Julia Lane. YOUNGEST CHILD Jessica Houthuys (one month old), Greg Manns and the McClurg Bunch. o Kids liven up veen Street Little Christa Lane of Port Perry also won a prize for her costume. She's just 2 years old, but had a good time in the parade. ? & L > A \ are Darryll McClurg, Tasha Stephenson, William Mount and Kyle McClurg. Donald Duck and his three nephews Huey, Duey and Louey were winners in the kids costume parade. Winners included Sherry Spofford, crop in the Best Decorated Bike contest, 3; Brett Stephens, 5; Linda Mahaffy, 10 and judged in front of the Post Office Friday Brennan Knopp, 10. These girls were happy but exhausted following their grand finale performance dancing in front of the Post Office.
