Now that all three areas of Seagrave are part of the program the municipali- ty will be putting up the highway signs indicating that Seagrave is a Block Parent Community. The Block Parent Association for this area would like to express their appreciation to all the organizations who made such generous donations. The latest 2 cheques coming from the Greenbank-Seagrave Group Committee and the Seagrave Parks Association Thanks again! On Monday July 15th, the Seagrave Store Soft- ball team played their first 'away' game In Greenbank Park against the Uxbridge Nurseries Maple Leafs The Seagrave team did well at bat with early homeruns by Peter King and Michael Williams and good base hits by Deanna Dempsey, Stewart Hunt. Debbie Hopmans and Shane Smale. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, 2 members of the Seagrave team played for the Pine Cones as they were short-handed. Both Seagrave's Jay King and Kim Poppleton had solid base hits and played well in the field for the Pine Cones. Peter King had 2 homeruns and Ryan Wilhams dazzled everyone with a tricky play sliding safe to first. Good plays in field in- cluded catches by Tom Durwood, Lori Buscher and Nicole Addison. Michelle Wall ran for all she was worth to score a run with her team mates coming up fast behind her on a grand slam home run by Michael Wilhams. Brad Lemieux may stull be wondering about the blazing line drive that seemed to go right through his glove - just about the only one that got away from him as he played well in field. But not last Thursday, when everyone, including five year old Brendon Lockman (who had to wipe the watermelon juice off his tace) was invited up to the hospital for a delicious barbecue. , " PER ; Hospital administrator David Brown donned his chef's outfit for the second year in a row at Community Memorial's annual barbecue for staff, patients and YMCA Daycare kids last Thursday.
