If you would like to go on a bus trip to the CNE this year, there will be . one going from Port Perry Plaza at 8:45a.m. and stopping at Myrtle station at 9 o'clock and if you want you can park your car in the church yard. The cost is $12. and the bus goes right into the Exhibition. Some special things on that day: the Ford Fami- ly Fun Circus at Ontario Place; a high diving show, and an antique show; free shuttle trains for you if you don't like to walk. For more informa- tion phone Barbara Par- rinder 655-4500. We are glad to have Barbara and Ray Porter and children, Sharman and Glen, home again after their holiday in Nova Scotia where they visited Ray's father and family. Miss Peggy Graham of Thunder Bay is visiting with the Herons this week, visiting with them on the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. W. McAndless, Scott, Linda and Karen of Don Mills, also Mr. and Mrs. Drew Leaper and son, Ilan of Mississauga. Florence Ashton spent a few days last week with her aunt Ruth Purdy of Mono Centre and they also visited Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Vicers of Fergus. ' Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Humphrey of London, Miss Stella and Barbara Humphrey of Toronto visited recently at the Humphrey home. Once again it was good to have visitors at Burns Church last Sunday. Rev. Clifford Johnston of Lindsay was the guest. He had a good message from the gospel of Luke, Chap. 18, explaining the meaning of 'Pride,' ac- cording to the bible. Dur- ing the service a duet "I'd Rather Have Jesus' was sung by Ted and Rose Heron accom- panied by Reta David- chuk who is playing while the organist, Ar- nold Ashton, is on vaca- tion in California. Rev. Johnston will be with us again next Sunday. Have a good day, we build a new tomorrow on the plans we make to- day. rg -- ENMMEF BPOXERS (MNTED 19) QUEEN ST PORT PERRY (416 345 7308 ALL LINES OF GENERAL INSURANCE VICTORIA VG AND GREY TRUST Sine edd 11% 5 Yr Annual Interest 10v4% Semi-Annually Rates Subject to Change Without Notice 50 - Factory fresh new cars, company cars and demos. 20 - Brand new full size pick-ups, "S" pick-ups, Jimmys and vans.
