Results from the Cup Day Soccer season all but over The Scugog Youth Soc- cer Club wrapped up their season with a very successful cup day on Sat. Sept. 7. This day saw players display excellent soccer skills with many exciting games in each division. There was a great turn-out of players and parents on cup day which turned out to be the hottest day of the season. There were twenty-two games played throughout the day. The referees and linespeople had their work cut out for them but all did a super job as they have throughout the summer. A big thank- you to all the enthusiastic coaches who volunteer their time each week. It is much appreciated. There are a lot of peo- ple needed to win a suc- cessful tournament or cup day. Thanks to our conveners who did a super job all season long and special thanks to all the ladies at the trailer who served the pop and hot dogs all day long. They are all very special people. I would also like to thank the parents or coaches who did the ex- cellent game reports for me each week. Parents, please make note of the Scugog Youth Soccer Club's Annual General Meeting at the Municipal Building, 8:00 P.M. October 29 in Port Perry. The Executive is in need of new members SO anyone interested, please attend or if you have any questions, com- Award winning ... ments or suggestions, or just want to sit in to hear each member's report, you are welcome. Please support your Soccer Club and try and attend. The Executive would like to thank very much Edna Templeman for a job well done as secretary over the last two years and wish Edna and her family best wishes for the safe ar- rival of their new baby around Xmas time.
