7 - Hot dogs and Blue Jays If things were a bit noiser than usual in the right field seats at Exhibition Stadium Sunday afternoon, it's because the Lil Gators Squirt team from Port Perry was on hand to watch the Jays and Brewers. Like kids everywhere, these youngsters cheered for their favourites and consumed an endless stream of hot dogs and cold drinks. The only sour note of the day's outing was the 2-1 loss by the Jays. Please come out next Thursday Sept. 26. It all starts at 7:30 at the Prince Albert Hall. Mr. and Mrs. George Alliston of Blackstock called on Bryan, Judy and Philip Beacock recently. The Allistons have just returned from a 5 week tour of the west coast. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hodgins and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hope travelled by train up to Sudbury last week and enjoyed a tour of that city. Remember Heather Hodgins, she is well and happy in Toyka, Japan. She has a job and a fine apartment and loves it all. And soon the Port Perry Star will be going there for Heather to catch up on the news. Wonder if we will have to write in Japanese for her. L.ast week Mr. and Mrs. Earl Martyn and Mr and Mrs Wilbur Vance travelled up to Coboconck and had din- ner and a pleasant even- ing with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gibson. Then to end the week Earl and Jean along with Mr. and Mrs. OE Croxall went to Richmond Hill and dined with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Handly. And another gentleman from Prince Albert who 1s in Port Perry Hospital 1s Jim Mitchell, hope you're out soon Jim. Valerie Van Ravenswaay celebrated her 3rd birthday on Saturday, Sept. 21. Help- ing her eat all the goodies were her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Van Ravenswaay from Dunn- ville, Ontario, plus her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. G. Van Raven- swaay and Darrin and Daisy from Dunnville. On Friday evening her other grandparents, Mr and Mrs John Hill came to dinner Happy Birth- day Valerie from all of us. Now If you see Sheila Dantzer on Tuesday. wish her a Happy Birth- day, that is her big day. And belated Birthday greetings to Robbie Bredin. He was 5 years old on September 9. Lorne and Eileen Slute visited cousins Mr. and Mrs. Art Lang in St Thomas this week and attended the ploughing match. Congratulations to Bill and Debbie Slute who are proud parents of a baby boy Corey John born on Wednesday in Port Perry Hospital. This is a little brother for Jeffrey.
