Tickets are available from Terry Crawford at 985-3547 or Betty Williams at Autumn events The Durham Region Family YM- CA has a variety of fun programs operating this Fall season. Our Time Together is a new pro- gram which allows moms and tots together the opportunity to paste, paint, play with puzzles and toys, learn finger} .ays and participate in songs and storytelling. It is an ex- cellent program for toddlers to ex- perience socializing outside the home and prepares them for pre- school activities without mom. The Fall 1985 program is filled however, a second session will be offered and names for upcoming sessions are being accepted. Children four and five years of age can enjoy fun with art on Friday afternoons with Creative Crafts. Each week a different craft is featured. For the youth who enjoys fun, ac- tion and friendly competition, .the YMCA has begun a Floor Hockey league for boys and girls at R.H. Cornish School, Monday nights. This is an excellent conditioning pro- gram for the winter season when children tend to spend most of their time quietly indoors. Also a Childcare course is offered this Fall. There are three upcoming special events for children: Halloween Par- ty, Breakfast with Santa and Creative Christmas Crafts. Please register early to avoid being disappointed. The YMCA also offers programs for adults. On Saturday, October 26th, the YMCA has organized a Trip to Kitchener to visit the Kit- chener Market and several factory outlets. The $35.00 outing includes bus fare and lunch at Bingeman Park. The Seagrave U.C.W. will be holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 9 at 8:00 p.m, at the home of Mrs. Lillian Ross The U.C.W. plans to set up a Bazaar Table at the Turkey Supper Wednes- day, November 6 and will be discussing this at the meeting. Donations of baked goods, knitting, sewing, crafts etc. would be great- ly apprecidted. The Seagrave Good Neighbours Group will be holding their next PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, October 8, 1985 -- 17 Dance for all at Greenbank Hall meeting at the home of Joan Dur- ward on October 15 at 8:15. This group will be sponsoring a bus trip to Scarborough Town Centre on Saturday, November 2. the bus will leave the church at 8:30 a.m. and set out for home from the Centre at 4:30 p-m.
