Catherme Humphrey graciously chaired the meeting and took her devotions from Dr. Charles J Robb's book "The Undescribable Christ." Joan Kmght presented a lovely programme of Thanksgiving in word and song. The euchres have started again for this winter last Thursday night and 8 tables were played. The Ladies prizes went to Annie Ross. Ruby Birkett: Men's prizes to Pete Gall and Edna Mans. Grace Hopkins and Dorothy Whittington won the door prizes and Erma Wood won the 50/50 draw, The next euchre will be October 24th. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. W. Gardner and Jean recently were Mr. and Mrs. E. Westfall, Heather and Trevor of Hamilton; Mr. and Mrs. Rees Williams of Don Mills; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gardner and Shawn of Whitby: and Mrs. Irma Tripp of Port Perry. Visitors with the Davidchuk fami- Iv over the holiday were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Davidchuk and fami- ly and Mrs. Hodorek and daughter. Leith, all of Calgary. Mr. and Mrs. W. Gardner visited recently with Mriand Mrs. R. Er- vine of Port Perry. Florence Ashton was the guest recently of the Uxbridge Hor- ticulture Society when she was the guest speaker for the evening, and her subject was one she is very knowledgeable about. Ted and Rose Heron attended a family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Reynolds of Aurora recently. They also enjoyed a few days with their grandchildren. Robert and Jane McAndless and children in Ottawa. Some things coming up in the near future are: the regular meeting of the Kirk Guild will feature a video called "Street Proofing Children, Strong Kids, Safe Kids. on November 5th in the Church Hall. More details later. Also November 17th, the Sellwoods will be coming to Burns Church to present an even- ing of Gospel music. Evervone is welcome.
