Port Legion A blasts Uxbridge by Chris Legere On Friday, October 18 the Port Perry Legionaires hosted Uxbridge and defeated them 6-2. The scoring was opened by Chris Legere only 30 seconds into the game on a passing play by Jarett Harman and Jason Towns. Twenty-eight seconds later Jan Heyes made it 2-0 for Port on a pass from Danny Sluggett. Danny Sluggett then scored Port's third goal of the game as he picked the corner on a breakaway from a pass by Brian Appleby that travelled from one end of the rink to the other. In the second period Jarett Har- man scored on a loose puck in front of the net and it was assisted by Jason Towns and Chris Legere. Chris Legere, 19 seconds later, scored his second goal of the game and it was unassisted. Still in the se- cond period Sean Bradbury scored his first goal of the game and he was also unassisted. Uxbridge then scored twice but that wasn't enough to top Port Perry's scoring rally. Port's next home game will be Friday, October 25 against Port Hope.
