Mother-in-laws mark their special day Nestleton-Caesarea News by Mabel Cawker Mothers'-in-law day was celebrated this past Saturday, Oc- tober 26. Trust they had an en- joyable time on their special day - were treated royally and so forth' They aren't "'half-bad" when you really get to know them! Nestleton Ladies' Aid The October meeting of the Nestleton Ladies' Aid was held at the home of Mamie Magill with a small attendance.. President Dorothy Lee brought the meeting to order with hymn, "Come Ye Thankful People Come" and a warm welcome to all. The inspira- tion devotional was presented by Norma Wolfe. Business Portion Minutes were approved as read. A thank you note for a plant - and a donation was rec'd from Dora Gillson, who has been in Hospital. Norma Wolfe thanked the Ladies' for the plant sent to her husband George after he returned from Hospital. A donation was rec'd from Edna Wilson. The 1986 Church calendars are for sale at $2.00 each. An appeal was read re the Handi- Transit Van fund and a decision was made to give $50.00 to this worthy cause. Dorothy Lee turned in two boxes of get well cards for the Ladies' Aid to use. The roll call was answered with **A Thought For The Day." Programme Interesting readings were given by Mabel Dayes entitled, '*A Nation Under God' - Ruth Thompson, 'The Life you live is the lesson you teach," and Bertha McLaughlin read quite a poem on "Questions.""' The meeting closed with The Lord's Prayer and The Mizpah Benedic- tion. Lunch was served by the group in charge complete with birthday cake. Bertha extended the thank you to all who helped make the day of interest. The November meeting to be held at the home of Norma Wolfe. A small group of dedicated folks working for the common good!
