The plates take six weeks to be delivered and cost $100 a set. "Last year we processed over 10,000 plates during the Christmas season and had a busy time trying to get them all out on time," said Fulton. 'This year, we'd like to avoid the rush and ensure everyone gets their plates on time. So, we're encouraging people to place their orders by the first week of November if they plan to give per- sonalized plates for Christmas presents." The plates are manufactured at Millbrook Correctional Institute near Peterborough and may be ordered at any licence issuing office. Personalized plates may have from two to six characters arrang- ed in any combination of letters, or numerals and letters, except those combinations used on regular plates. There are still tickets for the Beef Supper November 7th at Utica Hall sponsored by the Church board. The UCW will have a bazaar in the after- noon in the hall at 2:30 - see 'Com- ing Events." Fay and Shauna Simmonds were dinner guests one day this week with Doug and Beth Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Roman and Michael of Leaskdale called on Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans Sunday evening. The Tapscotts attended the party Saturday evening at Music Hall, Ux- bridge in honour of the Sweet Adeline's receiving their Charter. Betty is a member of the group. Darlene Christie and Sharon Smith entertained at dinner on Saturday night. Guests were Jim Powell and friend, Chris, Ellie and Art Powell. The occasion was Ellie and Art's 22nd wedding anniver- sary.
