Heron The Ashburn group of the WMS met last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Rose Heron with nine members present. A very mean- ingful worship service was given by Ray Death and Bernice Gardner led in prayer. A hearty vote of thanks was given to Bernice Gardner, who-has been our faithful presideht for the past four years. The new slate of officers for the coming year was read by Chrissie McKinney which are as follows: - Past President - Bernice Gardner: . President - Rose Heron; Vice- President - Lois Daw; Secretary - Nellie Hopkins; Treasurer Florence Ashton; Supply Secretary - Bernice Gardner; Associate Membership - Ray Death and Glad Tidings Secretary - Ruby Bryant. Plans were made for the coming year. and a social time was enjoyed over the tea cups. The next meeting will be held at the home of Catherine Humphrey the first Wednesday in February. The annual meeting of the Com- munity Centre will be held on January 20th at 8 p.m. Come out and help suppport your Community Cen- tre Board.
