Many up- coming events were discussed, and plans made. The Venturer Square Table will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 7:30 at Joseph Gould School in Ux- bridge. One of the events to be discussed at this meeting will be the "'Freeze 86" camp to be held on the weekend of February 7, 8 and 9th. This camp is preségnted by the 1st Zephyr Venturer Company and the 1st Cannington Pathfinders, and will take the form of a Challenge Camp. It is open to all Pathfinders, Rangers, Cadets, Junior Leaders, Senior Scouts and Venturers with their Leaders. If more information is required please contact John Hohzeimer at 416 473-5921, or Diana Dove at 705 432-3125. The District will be offering a St. John's Ambulance Standard First Aid Course to all Leaders and adults involved in Scouting. The course will take place on Wednesday, February 12 and Thursday, February 13th from 6-10 p.m.; and on Saturday, February 15th from 9a.m. to 6 p.m. -If you wish to register or need more information, please call Alf Huggins at 985-3045 or Greg Smith at 985-7447. Don't forget that Scout Guide Week is February 16th to February 23rd, with Thinking Day or Baden- Powell's Birthday on February 22nd. During that week the District will be holding a 6er's and Seconds Day for those junior leaders in the Cub Packs. It will be held at the Port Perry Scout Hall, and activities will include ice fishing. Another District Pack event that the boys should be thinking about is [| Kr yr Sz \ RR 4 at 4 4 20 -- FREE ESTIMATES -- Installation Available PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, January 21, 1986 -- 9 the upcoming Kub Kar Rally. The: Pack run-offs will be held from March 19th to the 22nd, and the District Run-offs will be on Sunday, March 23rd. So start thinking about what design you want to try to win with this year! There are plans afoot for a District Winter Fun Day for all Beaver Colonies on Sunday, March 2nd. We will give you more news Freeze 86 being planned 'about this event next month. The next District meeting will be on Thursday, February 20th at 8:00 p.m. at the Port Perry Scout Hall.
