Jerinifer was found to be a compatible donor and willingly volunteered to help. She devoted many hours to com- forting her brother before the opera- tion, then spent four days in hospital for the transplant surgery. Matthew had a successful six week post-transplant period, but contacted a type of pneumonia and died last March. Her gift of herself was the most precious gift of all.
