Port Perry once again opened the scor- ing in the 1st period on a beautiful goal by. centreman Chad Kearns who after several attempts finally beat the Uxbridge goaltender and blasted the puck between the pipes, a well earned assist goes to Brent Harper! Great team work boys. As "the second period unfolded, Port's Davey Bourgeois netted goal no. 2 assisted by defenceman Scott 'Heasman and centreman LeFort. Scott Heasman played a strong game on defence blasting many hard shots at the Uxbridge net- minder. Great game Scotty. As the third period began, Ux- bridge made a rush towards the Port Perry netminder but was stop- ped cold by centreman Chad Kearns who poked the puck past the Ux- bridge defencemen and Davey Bourgeois with his incredible speed broke away and rocketed one past the Uxbridge netminder. What a shot, Davey!! To round off the scoring Chad Kearns tucked in his second of the afternoon assisted by Sandy Mark and Davey Bourgeois, ending the game Port up 4-0. Although the score sounds very one sided Mike Pashley made many incredible stops giving him a very well deserved shut-out. Holy Moly -- what a goalie! Along with Scottie, Jay King, Brett Lawson, Keith Haist, Clay Scott and Gavin Carnegie made an ~awesome defensive unit. You guys played great. Although robbed by the Uxbridge goalie several times the line of Jay Tredway, Mike Labanovich and Sandy Mark played a tremendous game! Congratula- tions team!
