ATOM Swamp - 2 Scugog Lumber - 5 Scugog Lumber defeated Swamp Garage by a 5-2 score on the strength of a 4 goal effort by Bill Sandiford. Jeremy Woodcock scored a goal and Lee Whitter got an assist. Swamp scoring by Mike Williams and Chad Venning with David Pashley picking up an assist. Lions - 0 Tripp - 6 Adam Johnston scored three goals to lead Marj Tripp to a 6-0 victory over the Lions Club. Mark Cosway with two and Ryan Picard with one were the other Tripp marksmen. Scott Foster received an assist. Craig Dale notched the shutout. Van Camp - 7 UAW -3 : A complete team effort gave Van Camp a 7-3 win over UAW. Scoring for Van Camp was Brendon Agnew 3 goals and an assist; Steven Slade two goals; Mike Hepburn one goal; Scott Wylie one goal; Garfield LeFort one assist ;and Steven Parish one assit. Scorers for Larocque were Gordie Ireland, Ken Winslow, and Lee Phillips. Todd Saulnier earned an assist. Scoring for Scala Bros. was handl- ed by Mike Butt with 2 unassisted goals. The second game put Frank Realtors against Emiels Place and resulted in another 1 goal decision with Frank on top by a score of 2-1. Scorers for Frank were Cole Parry unassisted and Paul Kett assisted by Ian Cobham and Jon Ausman. Emiels lone marker was scored by Daryl Dutkewich from Herb Hatch. On Saturday, March 1, game 2 of the round robin series was played. Larocque Electric went 2 and 0 in the series with a win over Frank Realty by a score of 5-3. For Laroc- que, a hat trick by Lee Phillips unassisted and singles by David Iman and Ken Winslow took care of the scoring. Franks marksmen were Paul Kett with 2 and Alec Cranmer with 1 assisted by Cole Parry. Game 2 of the day resultedin a 3-3. tie between Scala Bros. and Emiels Place. Scoring for Scala Bros. was all handled by Mike Butt with a well Curling news by Scott Howey This coming weekend the Port Perry Ladies Tankard teams are travelling to Newmarket for the se- cond step of their competition. The Tankard is a two-team competition where the score of both teams is totalled. If they are successful there they will advance to the Ontario Finals being held in Port Perry on March 27. Also on March 8 and 9, the Colts teams of Scott Howey, Dave Roth, Ken Jeffrey and Rick Beare are playing in the Regional Level of that competition being held at the Boulevard Club in Toronto. Steve Foster made it to the 3rd event quarter-finals while Scott Howey got to the 3rd event semi- finals. This coming weekend is the J.D. Taylor Mixed bonspiel. earned hat trick and one assist by Donnie Hughes. Emiels Place snipers were Craig Leask, Daryl Dutkewich and John Woodward. Assists were earned by Greg Kyle and Mark Shepperd.
