Now that this action has been taken, parents feel confi- dent that their students may enrol with absolutely no fear that the school will be closed before the students reach graduation. The annual World Day of Prayer for this area will be held in Nestleton United Church on Friday, March 7, at 2 p.m. Last Tuesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry McLaughlin, Nestleton, were Marion and Tommy Hodge and Roy Werry. This was a birthday celebration for Tommy's birthday. Congratulations. Another birthday was celebrated when on Sunday, February 23rd, a surprise birthday party was held at the home of Doug and Linda Fallis in honour of Merlin Philp of Nestleton. Craig Paisley will be appearing on a repeated showing of a television programme in the series Counter Point, which will be aired on Satur- day morning, at 11:30 on Channel 11. Craig was chosen as contestant on this programme from his Com- munications Course at Mohawk Col- lege. As part of this competition, Craig interviewed M.P. Our girls' curling team of Julie Bryant, Tara Bailey, Elaine Kelly, Joy Werry and Natalie Green par- ticipated in the LOSSA curling com- petition in Uxbridge on February the 22nd. They played two very com- petitive and close games, but were defeated 6-5 by R.S. McLaughlin and 8-6 by Anderson Collegiate. Our boys' curling team also par- ticipated in the LOSSA competition in Uxbridge on February th 19th. The team was made up of Brian Van Camp, Jay Van Camp, Robert Um- phrey, Shawn Hoskin, and Scott Fletcher. The guys experienced "the agony of defeat,' but I was told they had a great time.
