10 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, March 11, 1986 Nutcracker Suite fun at Blackstock Club The Blackstock Skating Club held their annual skating show at Blackstock arena last Saturday. This year the children presented the 'Nutcracker Suite'. The Blackstock Skating Club has 75 children in its weekly program for children from 2to 17. The programs ~ consist of an 'l Can Skate, Can Figure Skate and a Power Skate program' which helps children prepare for house league hockey. The skating program, under the direction of Donna Bronson, has been operating since the early 80's. Prior to this there was a s' aight skating program with no skating show theatre production. Some of the previous productions are Peter Pan and the Wizard of Oz. Mrs. Bronson also trains the children for badges of accomplish- ment. Following this years show a hot dog and dessert party was held for the presentation of these awards. The children and their parents all went home happy with their ac- complishments and looking forward to skating next year.
