16 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, March 11, 1986 Fantastics, the Borelians next adventure Fast on the heels of "The Murder Room", the Borelians will be stag- ing the musical drama "The Fan- tastics" to run at Town Hall 1873 on April 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19. This romantic and sentimental musical opens with the song 'Try To Remember" and bids us to do just that. It presents a parable on life as shown through the story of two' teenage lovers and their parents. All of us will see bits of our own lives in this next presentation. Watch this space for more information on the persons who will be involved in bringing this next production to you. MELODY SOMERVILLE Melody, or Mel as she likes to be called will be doing her second role as a Borelian when she performs as Louisa in the upcoming musical drama 'The Fantastics" being presented by the Borelians in April. She previously played the part of amime in *'Stick With Molasses' as a member of the Borelians youth group. Her experience also includes the part of the housekeeper in Cor- nish's production of "The Cloak of Ermine." Singing and music are two of her favourite pasttimes, and she is presently a member of the junior jazz choir at the Port Perry High School. © In her role of Louisa in "The Fan- tastics,"' she plays the part of a views of life. It is also a terrific way to meet new friends who share similar interest. This particular play has the unique opportunity of working with a professional vocal coach. The Borelians are pleased to see Mel graduate from the youth group, and look forward to her role as Louisa. . . BILL BAGSHAW Bill, who is attending grade 12 at Uxbridge High School, is a new member to the Borelians, but many people in his Uxbridge home will recognize his name. He is present- ly directing "The Pirates of Pen- zance" for the Uxbridge High School. He has also played the role of Cornelius Hackle in "Hello Dol- ly" for the Shoestring Music Theatre. Although his interest in music comes from early childhood, one of his first times on the stage was in grade seven when he had a part in "It's Cold In Them Thar Hills." Since recognizing his musical ability, he has joined the church choir to extend his involve- ment in music. Producing "The Voice of the People' for his theatre arts class is another theatrical ac- complishment.
