Caesarea Community Church The friendly Community Church had an excellent attendance for both Good Friday Service and Easter Sunday. Rev. Charles Clarke spoke on Good Friday ... his message was entitled, 'The Last Week of Jesus" .. the text based on Matthew 27 and Psalm 22. Holy Communion was celebrated. On Easter Sunday with over for- ty worshippers in the congregation, Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford spoke on "Resurrection, Fact Or Fable' from I Corinthians 15: 20. Daniel Pugh Jr., read the Scripture. Two duets were enjoyed sung by a mother and daugther team- Mrs. Moldoyano and Mrs. Kathleen Tromans ... "Were You There?" and 'Because He Lives" accom- panied by organist Kathleen Watt. Some new hymn books were dedicated. A children's Church with a good number present was held in the new Hall. A very fine service. Dorprinday Surprise Party Doris Nottingham, Caesarea, was pleasantly surprised on Sunday evening when the family "hosted" a surprise birthday celebration with all the trimmings ... held at the "Stairs" Restaurant in Oshawa. Later, they went to son Gary and Marg Nottingham's home at Raglan for birthday cake. All the family were present ... 23 in all. The fami- ly presented Doris with a lovely gift. We extend best wishes to Doris for many more such happy occasions.
