Summer is just around the corner and the Executive of the Scugog Youth Soccer Club have been busy for the last several months planning the 1986 soccer season for your children. For older girls, we hope to field one Mosquito tea, two Pee-Wee teams and one Bantam team, all playing in the Durham Girls Soccer League against teams from Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa. It appears that there will be "try-outs" for the Pee- Wee and Bantam boys teams. Registration days are planned for Friday, April 18th to Sunday, April 20th, inclusive, and fees this year will be $35 per child or $60 per family. The League season will stretch from May 20th to the last week in August. Each week there will be - both a Practice Night and a Game Night for all children. The Minis and Squirts will have Practice Night on Tuesdays with Wednesdays as Game Night. The Atoms will have Practice Night as Tuesdays and Thursdays as Game Night. Photo Day will be June 14th and Cup Day is scheduled for September 6th. The popular 'Atom and Mosquito Invita- tional Tournament' will be held on August 9 -- 10th, inclusive. Your child will be able to keep his full uniform at the end of the season and also receive a team and an in- dividual photo on Cup Day. Henry Mulhall, our Sponsorship Director, has been busy seeking the aid of local businesses. Their generous support, as provided in the past, makes possible the full pro- gramme provided for our youngsters. - Many coaches have already been contacted by our Head Coach, Peter Koogers. He has already arranged coches' clinics, and notices on their times/venues will soon be announc- cd. Peter would be extremely pleas- ed to see more people volunteer their services. Jim Callan, our Head Referee, is also keen to add names to his list of referees. Those interested in earn- ing a few dollars should contact hime soon, since he is arranging a referees' clinic in the near future. The popular clinics for Minis and Squirts are again being planned for early May at the Hockey Arena. More details will be available at Registration. Several conditioning and practice evenings are being planned for boys and girls Pee-Wee and Bantam teams at Prince Albert and the High School for late April/early May. The uniforms have been ordered - 80 dust off the soccer shoes and think summer, we are looking for- ward to one of our best fun-filled seasons yet. See you at Registration!
