During the night of March 16 and'17th, 1986 person(s) unknown broke into the Ontario Hydro Building on Scugog Road North, Bowmanville. At this time Hydro Pickup and a selection of Hydro work clothing was stolen. On March 17, 1986 during the daylight hours a house on Regional Road No.20, north of Mosport Park was broken into and a quantity of jewellery was stolen. Parked outside was a Hydro Truck. Shortly thereafter a house on County Road No.28 in Cavan Township was also broken into. Found at the scene was a Hydro Map which came from the stolen pick up truck. Later that day the pick up truck was found abandoned at the Fifth Wheel Truck Stop, Waverley Road and Highway No.401, Bowmanville. Again during the night of March 23 and 24, 1986 the same Hydro offices were broken into and another pick up truck was crashed through the gates. Also taken was a Toshiba VCR. This pick up was later found at the Fifth Wheel. Crime Stoppers is offering an award for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for these offences. In addition an award of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in any serious crime. : As a caller you will never have to identify yourself or testify in court.
