There was a good atten- dance and Roll-Call was answered with responses to the question 'What is your favourite family ac-. tivity?" An amusing poem was read by Anne Chandler and after the business session the meeting was turned over to the Family and Con- sumer Affairs group under the leadership of Anne Evans. The speaker was Anne Hankinsen, Department of Agriculture Home Economist, whose topic "Family Strengths in Changing Times", pro- ved constructive and thought- provoking. Mrs. Lenore Blueman of Con. 6 W. has been in hospital for a period & seems to be improving & is always very cheerful. At the Scugog United on Sun. Mr. Bill McCaul conducted the service to allow Rev. Brian Robinson to con- tinue study on his course. The previous Sun. the children were disappointed in not being able to send several doz. balloons aloft, but this last Sun. proved to be a much nicer day for the exciting event. Rev. Don & Mrs. Tansley have moved from their former home in Columbus to a new home in Apple Valley. We became quite well ac- quainted during Rev. Tansley's ministry in Port Perry & Scugog and are therefore pleased that they have now chosen to live among us and we hope to see them more fre- quently. In fact Rev. Tansley will be the minister at Scugog United June 1 and 8 and a Communion Service will be held on June 8 while Rev. Robinson takes part in a special ser- vice at Prince Albert. Again, be reminded of the last seasonal Coffee Hour & Pot Luck Supper with speaker for June 11. Jr. Choir members of Scugog United are asked to watch their mail boxes for a special invitation to a year end party. On Sun. June 22 the congregation of Scugog United is asked to remain after the regular service to elect 2 Stewards and 2 Elders who have previously been considered for these positions.
