During the afternoon on Wednes- day, May 14th, the residents held their monthly Resident Council Meeting. There was 24 residents in attendance. They decided they would like to have in the near future a corn roast, a pub night, a dinner outing, and a picnic at the lakefront. They are also now the proud owners of a new sewing maching and a cof- fee maker. These are kept in the craft room and are for the residents use. Another majority decision that they had are that they are going to buy planters and plants to display on the patio. This should spice up the patio. Bingo was held on Friday May 16th. This is one of the favourite ac- tivities among the folks in the Nur- sing Home. We had many winners during the afternoon and a fun time was had by all who attended. Every moment that is available the residents are kept busy working on their crafts and ceramics for the Bazaar that is being held on Sat. May 31st from 1:30-4:00 p.m. Be sure to come and visit us. We have something for everyone. We have several of the men that are interested in doing woodworking in our workshop, but need a leader to help them. If you are interested - in volunteering in this area or any other areas please give us a call at 985-3205 (Activity Dept.) The monthly birthday party was held on Tuesday, May 20th, with 16 people in attendance. Each resident that has a birthday in May came and brought a friend. They all en- joyed the cake and ice cream and the birthday people received their presents. Afterwards everyone relaxed and listened to the delightful piano music played by Mrs. Claire Whitter. Thanks Claire! Also we would like to thank our volunteer hostesses, Theresa, Darlene and Betty. Birthday greetings are ex- tended to Mr. John Linton (May 21), Mr. George Reed (May 25), Mrs. May Gould (May 27), Mrs. Dorothy Archer (May 30), Mrs. Greta St. John (May 31) and Mrs. Eveline Flieler (June 2). On Wednesday, May 21, the Hope Christian Reform Church in Prince Albert invited us to the church for ~ a semi-annual tea and worship. 17 residents from the Nursing Home @ and 11 from the Villa enjoyed this trip very much. Last week our monthly newsletter | was distributed throughout the Nur- sing Home. If you happen to get a chance to view one it is very well worth it. (Good Work Newsletter Crew!) The featured residents for this month were Les & Mabel Moreland. From the time the newsletter was released the Morelands have moved down to Kingston. The residents and staff would like to wish them happiness in their new home. The resoidents would like to ex- tend get well wishes to some of the nurses. They are Priscilla Jones, Nancy Brown, Sandra Kelly and . Lynn Arney. We hope you all have a speedy recovery and are back with us soon. We would also like to express our sympathy to Mr. Paul Diamond and his family on the passing of Mrs. Minnie Diam Wednesday, May 21. Minnie was with us for several years and will be missed by all. _--
