A tragic accident which occured near Blackstock last Thursday evening claimed the life of Miss Eleanor Kelly of Blackstock and in- jured her sister who was also in the vehicle. We extend our deepest sym- pathy to her parents Gerald and Joyce Kelly of Blackstock and her sisters as well as a host of friends and relatives who are left to mourn the passing of this intelligent, active young lady. It is difficult sometimes to understand why these young lives, so full of enthusiasm and potential, are snuffed out in their prime. May it be some comfort to you to know that many are thinking of you during this time of sorrow. Thursday evening Mrs. Gertie Wanamaker had the pleasure of at- tending a miscellaneous shower in honour of her granddaughter Miss Linda Wanamaker which was held at the home of Mrs. Jean Bailey of Oshawa.
