There were 152 births at the hospital, four more than the previns year. Emergency visits, day surgery, x- rays, lab tests, physiotherapy ap- pointments and overall admissions all increased over the previous year. In their annual report, ad- ministrator David Brown and Hospital Board chairman Dave Muir, noted the increase in ac- tivities in most departments. They also praised the efforts of the adult volunteers and Teen Volunteers who work at the hospital. The 43 adult volunteers put in 2800 hours of work last year, while the 18 Teen Volunteers contributed 1376 hours of volunteer work. } Mr. Brown said for the second _ time, the hospital has been granted a three-year accreditation and he praised the efforts of the staff and department heads in making this possible. - The meeting concluded with the presentation of numerous pins and bars to volunteers-who work at the hospital.
